Collection of General Information
Every time you access this website, information is automatically collected by us or the webspace provider. This information, also referred to as server log files, is of a general nature and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person.
The information collected includes: the name of the website, file, date, data volume, web browser and web browser version, operating system, the domain name of your internet provider, the so-called referrer URL (the page from which you accessed our website) and the IP address. The IP address will be rendered anonymous immediately after it has been collected. To do this, the last three figures are removed.
Without this information, it would be technically impossible to provide and display parts of the website. As such, it is absolutely necessary to collect such data. In addition, we use this anonymous information for statistical purposes, helping us to optimise our website and the technology involved. In cases of the suspected unlawful use of our website, we also reserve the right to subsequently check the log files.
Handling of Personal Data
Definition: personal data is deemed to be any information that can be used to uniquely identify a person. In other words, it is data that can be traced back to a person.
Personal data includes a person’s first name and surname, telephone number and email address. Information about hobbies, memberships, preferences and websites that have been accessed is also considered to be personal data.
Such data will only be collected, used and possibly disclosed by the provider if expressly permitted by law or if the user consents to the collection, processing, use and disclosure of such data.
Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies in parts. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies are used to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are sent to your computer and stored by your web browser.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”, which are automatically deleted at the end of your visit to our website. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your web browser the next time you visit our website.
You can set your web browser to notify you about the setting of cookies, enabling you to permit them on a case-by-case basis, to exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or in general, and to enable the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the web browser. Please refer to the instructions of your web browser manufacturer to find out details about how to do this. If cookies are disabled, the functionality of this website may be restricted.
Contact Form
We collect personal data when you provide us with such data of your own accord, for example, when you contact us. It goes without saying that we will only use the personal data submitted to us in this way for the purpose for which you provided it to us when you contacted us.
Such information is expressly given voluntarily and with your consent. If the information provided relates to channels of communication (such as your email address or telephone number), you also agree that we may, where appropriate, contact you via this channel of communication in order to address your concern.
You may of course withdraw your declarations of consent at any time with future effect. To do this, please contact our Data Protection Officer, whose contact details are given below.
etracker
Our website uses the analytics service etracker, provided by etracker GmbH, Erste Brunnenstraße 1, 20459 Hamburg, Germany. This data can be used to create user profiles under a pseudonym. Cookies may be used to do this. Cookies are small text files that are stored locally in your web browser cache. Cookies enable your web browser to be recognised. Data collected using etracker technologies is not used to personally identify visitors to our website and will not be merged with personal data about the bearer of the pseudonym without the express consent of the person concerned.
You can object to your data being collected and stored at any time with future effect. In order to object to the collection and storage of your visitor data for future visits, you can use the link below to obtain an opt-out cookie from etracker. This opt-out cookie ensures that no visitor data from your web browser will be collected and stored by etracker in future:

Integration of Services and Content of Third Parties
Our website sometimes includes content, services and performances of other providers, such as maps made available by Google Maps. To enable such data to be called up using the user’s browser and viewed, it is absolutely necessary for the IP address to be transmitted. The providers (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) therefore recognise each user’s IP address.
Although we endeavour to use solely third-party providers that only need the IP address to be able to provide content, we have no control over whether the IP address may perhaps be saved. In such a case, this process serves the purpose of compiling statistics, among other things. If we become aware of the fact that IP addresses are stored, we will notify our users accordingly.
SSL Encryption
We have taken extensive technical and operational security measures to protect your data from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. Our security procedures are checked regularly and adapted to technological progress.
This website uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential information, such as queries that you send to us as the website operator. You can tell when a connection is encrypted by the fact that the address bar in the web browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and a lock symbol is displayed in the web browser line.
When SSL encryption is enabled, data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
No Data Transmission to Third Parties
Your data will not be transmitted to third parties unless we are obliged by law to do so. If external service providers come into contact with your personal data, we have taken legal, technical and organisational measures and undertake regular checks to ensure that they comply with data protection legislation.
Rights of Access, Erasure and Blocking
You have at all times the right to obtain free information about the personal data stored concerning you, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing as well as the right to have this data rectified, blocked or erased. Exceptions apply where the storage of data is mandatory for business dealings or where the data is subject to statutory retention requirements.
Concerning this, and if you have any further questions relating to the topic of personal data, you can contact us at any time using this address datenschutz(at)heckewerth.de.
Links to Websites of Other Providers
Our website may contain links to other providers’ websites, which are not covered by this Privacy Statement. If the use of other providers’ websites involves the collection, processing or use of personal data, please refer to the relevant provider’s data protection notice.
Objection to Advertising Emails
We hereby expressly object to the use by third parties of contact data published within the scope of our legal notice obligations for transmitting advertising and information material not explicitly requested. The operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal action against any party that sends unsolicited advertising information, such as spam mails.
Amendments to the Privacy Statement
We reserve the right to make changes to our Privacy Statement at any time to ensure that it is always in compliance with the statutory requirements. The same applies in the event that the Privacy Statement has to be adapted owing to new or revised performances, such as new services. The new Privacy Statement will then apply from the next time you visit our website.
Last amended in May 2018.
