What we stand for
Heckewerth has been one of the largest family-owned panel coaters in Europe since 1876. We enjoy long-term and reliable business relationships, based on short decision paths and a sustainable philosophy of success, which is also expressed in the job security and attractive development perspectives we offer. Our production takes place exclusively at our site in East Westphalia, the heart of the German furniture industry. We maintain excellent contacts in the international procurement markets and strive for a consistent environmental management in all our activities. We are a strong and well-established company with extensive experience and in-depth expertise, as well as long-standing and trusting relationships in all directions.

For almost 150 years, the name Heckewerth has stood for customer satisfaction and integrity in the coating of panel materials. Our journey began as a small family business and has developed over the decades into one of the largest panel coaters in Europe. Our history reflects not only technological advances and market expansions, but also our ongoing commitment to sustainability, quality and entrepreneurial courage.

Our milestones
Founded as a timber business in Enger (takeover of the Münter company) by Eduard Heckewerth (1852-1922).
Sale to two employees, one of whom leaves, while Wilhelm Strack remains in the company.
Construction of the new hall with the world's largest span in nail truss construction.
Partial relocation to the newly built company premises in Hiddenhausen.
Start of production for the furniture industry.
Re-organization of the production processes and implementation of the first investment program.
Takeover of the company Saréco Deutschland GmbH.
Construction of a new warehouse and production hall (10,000 m²).
